Dear colleagues!


On behalf of the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation I welcome delegates of IV International Forum “YugTrans – 2008: Dialogue of the Maritime Powers”!
Highlighting the most important aspects of the transport industry YugTrans meetings traditionally join together port masters, ship owners, railwaymen and transport experts to discuss the common targets, plan the following steps to master the goals.
Development of Russian transport infrastructure is one of the priority-oriented trends of the development of the economic power of our country. The dialogue of the Black sea states on transport and logistics is appealed for decision of multiple problems of the industry and expansion of the interstate cooperation, which must be built on the principles of good-neighborly relations, equality and mutual benefit. To the date development and strengthening of international business ties is of primary concern for economies of the maritime powers and influences the dynamics of transport development.
Interaction of professionals of transport industry of the Black sea countries is an important and interesting event, the themes of the Forum are currently central.
I am sure YugTrans-2008 will become a new step on the way to interstate cooperation development in the transport industry.

IV International Forum “YugTrans-2008: The Dialogue of the Maritime Powers” will be held between the 2nd and 5th September 2008 in Istanbul (Turkey).

The goal of IV International Forum “YugTrans-2008: The Dialogue of the Maritime Powers” is consideration of the main directions of cooperation of the Black sea states regarding issues of port business development and cargo optimization in the region, coordination of maritime powers efforts as for state backing in transport industry.

The themes of the Forum are the most up-to-date issues of the current state of the industry and perspectives of its future development. Delegates will be given an opportunity to exchange experience and acquire exclusive information on the industry state.
